“Deliver Us from Evil” Purim
Luke 11:2-4 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3Give us day by day our daily bread. 4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Biblical righteousness is rooted in covenants and relationships. Gods righteousness is what He does in fulfillment of His promises.
James 2:21-23 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.We are to seek His righteousness Matthew 6:33a But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; by faith that God will perform His end of the covenant. Do you have faith in Yahuweh’s prayer that Yahushua taught? Is not this a prayer of covenant promises and our faith an example of righteousness?
I Peter 2:24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Our faith brings healing and confidencePhilippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ:
Romans 3:24-26Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Yahushua: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Yahuweh who saves, Yahushua (Jesus).
Evil looks at us and says we will be over come them by their own weaknesses. Judah had committed the same sin as Israel 135 years earlier in judgment as was Israel judged, Judah went into captivity in Babylon. Evil Haman believed he could destroy Judah by tricking the king into a decree which could not be changed to the destruction of Judah. The evil being uncovered and prayer and fastings being made to Yahuweh, iniquity of evil was turned in upon itself to Haman’s own destruction, along with all the enemies of Judah. God’s intervention through the Holy Spirit upon the king:[Esther 6:1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles;] The truth was read before the king and he reacted, to issue another decree allowing Judah to defend themselves. This book came after the time of Daniel whom evil tried to destroy in a similar manner. In fact Daniel may have been old but probably a contemporary of Esther.
Yahushua you are our soon coming king and we shall reign with You. Father mercy on our country, guidance to our leaders by Your Spirit, we your children delight in Your Son’s Day, we delight in judgments and righteousness because of Your lovingkindness. Yahushua died to establish Your name. O Yahuweh, preserve alive Thy work at the end of the age, at the beginning of the age make known; in wrath remember mercy.
